Our policies for refunds, cancellations, and dispute resolution

1. Refund Eligibility

You may be eligible for a refund in the following situations:

  • Before Work Begins: Full refund if the creator hasn't started work
  • Creator Non-Delivery: Full refund if creator fails to deliver within promised timeframe
  • Significantly Different Product: Refund if delivered signature doesn't match description
  • Quality Issues: Refund if signature quality is substantially below reasonable expectations
  • Creator Cancellation: Full refund if creator cancels the order

2. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are generally not provided in these cases:

  • Change of mind after work has begun
  • Minor stylistic preferences not specified in original request
  • Completed work that meets the service description
  • Customer provided incorrect information or specifications
  • Free signature services (no payment made)

3. Cancellation Policy

Customer Cancellations

  • Before Creator Accepts: Full refund, no questions asked
  • After Acceptance, Before Work Begins: Full refund (creator discretion)
  • After Work Begins: No automatic refund; must negotiate with creator
  • After Delivery: No refund unless quality issues exist

Creator Cancellations

If a creator cancels an order for any reason, the customer receives an automatic full refund. Frequent cancellations may impact the creator's standing on the platform.

4. Refund Process

To request a refund:

  1. Contact the creator directly through the platform messaging system
  2. Attempt to resolve the issue with the creator first
  3. If unresolved, open a dispute through your order page
  4. Provide detailed explanation and any relevant evidence
  5. SignMyProfile support will review within 48 hours

Refund Timeline: Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days and will appear in your original payment method.

5. Dispute Resolution Process

Step 1: Direct Communication

Always attempt to resolve issues directly with the creator first. Most issues can be resolved through clear communication and reasonable expectations.

Step 2: Open a Dispute

If direct communication fails, you can open a formal dispute through your order page. Provide:

  • Clear description of the issue
  • Screenshots or evidence
  • Communication history with creator
  • What resolution you're seeking

Step 3: Platform Mediation

SignMyProfile support will:

  • Review all evidence from both parties
  • Contact both customer and creator for additional information
  • Make a fair decision based on our policies
  • Communicate the decision within 48-72 hours

Step 4: Final Decision

SignMyProfile's decision in disputes is final. Possible outcomes include:

  • Full refund to customer
  • Partial refund with payment to creator
  • No refund, payment released to creator
  • Order cancellation with appropriate compensation

6. Late Delivery

If a creator fails to deliver within the promised timeframe:

  • 1-3 Days Late: Automatic notification to creator
  • 3-7 Days Late: Customer can request cancellation and refund
  • 7+ Days Late: Automatic refund option available
  • 14+ Days Late: Automatic refund processed

7. Quality Standards

Signatures must meet these minimum quality standards:

  • Match the service description provided by creator
  • Be properly formatted for Steam profiles
  • Be free of major technical errors or corruption
  • Include all features promised in the service tier
  • Be delivered in the specified format

8. Revision Policy

Before requesting a refund for quality issues:

  • Request revisions from the creator first
  • Clearly explain what needs to be changed
  • Allow reasonable time for revisions (24-48 hours)
  • Number of revisions depends on service tier purchased

9. Fraudulent Claims

Attempting to obtain refunds through fraudulent claims, chargebacks, or abuse of the dispute system may result in account suspension or termination. We take fraud seriously and investigate all suspicious activity.

10. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback with your payment provider instead of using our refund process:

  • Your account may be immediately suspended pending investigation
  • You may be required to provide evidence to your payment provider
  • Unjustified chargebacks may result in permanent account termination
  • Always attempt to resolve issues through our platform first
